The Flightcell DZMx is to have optional Bluetooth, allowing onboard devices to pair and be connected to the aircraft ICS. Mobile phone calls can be taken through the headset, providing pilots and crew with a handsfree capability and they can now listen to streaming audio.
This is the latest of a string of developments inside Flightcell DZMx product platform, a platform that continues to lead the industry when it comes to integrated satellite and cellular voice, data and tracking solutions. Bluetooth will be an optional extra for all new purchases that ship from July 2018.
DZMx customers will also have the option to upgrade existing units and it is recommended that this is done in conjunction with the DZMx WiFi upgrade option – see Flightcell press release dated 19 February 2018.
Flightcell has achieved significant business success with a wide-range of companies and organisations that include the U.S. State Department, U.S. Air Force, Army and Marine Corps, U.S. and European airborne police forces, Colombian, Chilean, South Korean and Turkish Air Forces, British and Norwegian Search and Rescue, and EMS operators in more than a dozen countries. As well, leading aircraft manufacturers such as Leonardo Helicopters, Lockheed Martin, Bell Helicopters, Airbus Helicopters and Sikorsky install Flightcell’s DZMx systems on new production aircraft.
