Heli-Expo 2017

Heli-Expo is a stunning showcase of the rotorcaft industry with a host of aircraft on display, new aircraft launches and glimpses into the future of the industry. This year it’s predicted that over 20,000 people will go through the doors of the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, Texas. It is by far the largest event of its kind and we believe it should be experienced by all rotorcraft professionals at least once in their career.

If you want to attend but are having problems justifying it, we hope this article may help. It might be too late for the 2017 event, however there’s always next year in Las Vegas.

It’s Educational

There will be over 100 educational sessions, workshops, seminars and forums and here’s a sample:

•Effective Leadership in Business Aviation (1 day)
•Flying in the Wire and Obstruction Environment (2 days)
•Helicopter Operational Management (4 days)

Fees range from $100 to $3,160. They vary depending on the type of course, the duration, HAI membership status and when you register. There will be a range of manufacturer briefings from Rolls-Royce, Bell, Airbus, Leonardo, Sikorsky, Turbomeca, Lycoming, MD, Robinson, Honeywell, P&W & GE Aviation. Each briefing goes for 1 hour and they meet the FAAs requirements for renewal of inspection authorisation certificates.

The HAI Connect Pavilion will host three days of presentations and meetings that include industry updates, association gatherings and vendor product demonstrations.

The Wrap Up
It’s worthwhile to take time out of your career or business to keep up with the latest technologies, the latest practices and to see what other like-minded professionals and businesses are doing. It’s also a refreshing break from normality and it’s an experience you won’t forget.
