The Flightcell Iridium Standalone Modem is a remote mounted Iridium 9523 remote mounted modem supporting Iridium Voice, SMS and Short Burst Data (SBD) services.

Its robust design allows the modem to be installed in a standalone configuration or if installed in conjunction with the DZMx / DZMx Plus, it can be controlled and used as an additional satellite modem providing audio integration into the aircraft ICS/audio panel, SMS and SBD.

The modem must be installed with its own appropriate external Iridium antenna.
